Optimizing for the New Year

It’s that time of year again, when your gym is full of newcomers, your Facebook feed is filled with people’s New Years resolutions, and you have an extremely long list of business goals for 2015. Let’s be honest – the newcomers stop going to the gym after a few weeks, your Facebook friends change their resolutions at least 2 times, and you might only get half of those business goals actually completed.

Marketing Tips for Success in 2015Marketing is important for every business, no matter the shape or size. Getting your name out there and closing some deals is what it comes down to. Have you thought about your marketing goals yet for 2015? Maybe you want to stick with that monthly newsletter, give your website a new look and feel, or rank higher on search engines. Don’t worry about adding this into marketing goals that you personally have to complete – let us do it! You have a business to run. Our job is to create and send those monthly newsletters, redesign your website, and make sure you are showing up higher on search engines.

Before giving us a call next week to see how we can lighten your workload for 2015, here are a few things you can do on your own in the meantime:

  • If you don’t already have a Google Analytics account to track your website traffic, visitor demographics, etc., set yourself up with one for free here: Google Analytics – Get Started.
  • Make sure your website and it’s content are best optimized for search engines by reading Google’s SEO Starter Guide.
  • Check out a few of the available email marketing platforms and see which one would best fit your needs. My personal favorite is MailChimp.

These are a few things that can make a big difference, which can result in more leads and business for you and make 2015 a great year!
